If you do you did you attend the Soil Associations Organic Festival on the weekend of 6/7 September 2008? I did and it was really good.

Commenting on it before the event they said that it was “Set in Bristol’s famous harbourside, the Festival incorporates bustling food markets, the very best organic food, drink, fashion, skincare and homeware products, a green planet pavilion, demonstration kitchen, talks programme, food cruises around the harbour, and an arts and entertainment fringe!”

Due to it being hosted in Bristol our local radio and TV invited 2 people with opposite views to speak on organic farming. This is the subject of the next post.

There are quite a few ways you can get in touch with those who share your interests, concerns, etc, i.e. Forums, Social Networks, etc. But there are fewer where you can hold a conversation with them. One of them is Skype, which is expanding into other aspects on the internet, and conference rooms, which will be looked at here. Conference initially, were held on the phone, which was very expensive for those who id not live in the country of the person who was holding it, usually the U. S.

There are more than one Conference Room, but the best known and most used is Hot Conference. If you get it direct it is expensive, but if you join Lead Generating Tools (LGT) and upgrade to Platinum you get it as part of the package.

All those who have done so are making good use of theirs.

There is one drawback to conference rooms and that is once you log out all the chat has been lost, but against this they have provided a way to save it.

Skype also provide one, but people, including me, have experienced problems accessing it. Hot Conference also had problems, in the people were ejected from the room, but this is being fixed.

Hot Conference provided a recording facility thereby solving the problem of people not being able to attend due to the time it is held. But people are endeavouring to find a time when the most people can attend.
